Four Transformation Methods of Rotary Dryer

Rotary dryer is a type of industrial dryer and handling by bringing it into direct contact with a heated gas. This machine is very useful for drying various materials, so it is widely used in many field. And the interior transformation of rotary dryer is very important for its working. It has four transformation methods:

1.Change the auger delivery blade on the feed end into a triangle rib plate which can be made by steel plate of 6mm thick. The short right-angle side is the same height with the feed end check ring and should be welded. The length of long right-angle side is 800mm and should be welded to the rotary drum dryer inner tank with 50mm”s interval per ring welded which form a cone feeder naturally. The function is to slow down the flow speed on the material in the high-temperature zone, absorb the heat fully, raise the heat-exchange rate, lower the rotary dryer front end temperature, and avoid the burnout of the barrel and the check material ring.

2.Transform the L-shape lifting blade in the low-temperature drying zone of the drying machine tail, about 1/3 of the barrel length. Generally the L-shape lifting blade is fixed 90 degree vertically, and the circle can be welded by 30 degree, 90 degree, 120 degree in turn. Thus by the rotation of the rotary dryer, the lifting blade is located in different space height and the distribution area of the lifting material is large, and the heat-exchange rate is high.

3.An central x-type lifting blade is added to reduce the hot holes, prolong the stay of the material, raise the heat exchange efficiency, and reduce the drain of the high-temperature gas. The installation part starts from the middle part of the rotary dryer (a bit to the end part is good) and in turn to the nose end to install 3~5 groups of lifting blade with 0.5~1m spacing distance and six pieces of X-type lifting blade per group. The part within 3 meters distance from the nose end can”t be made installation, or the whole drying efficiency will be influenced.

4.Transform the feed pipe angle of the rotary dryer and elevate the charging barrel as high as possible so long as the feeding is not influenced. It is best to keep the upper end and the rotary dryer”s check ring untouched. The part stretched into the barrel interior can”t be too long. Keep the distance within 200mm between the material drop point and the check material ring to protect the temperature of the front end material from over-high and burn out the check material ring and the barrel. Elevating the charging chute is good for the circulation of the high-temperature gas and can protect the chute from being burnt out. With the material drops naturally and the forming of a material curtain, it contacts directly with the high-temperature gas and thus the heat-exchange rate is improved.
